Biography

Kris Ramsay is a visual artist located in Sydney, Australia, specialising in Modern Celtic Fine Art. She develops her own original designs, which she brings to life through painting and sculpting using acrylic mediums on canvas, clay board, and paper. 

Kris has always maintained a deep connection to her Scottish roots. During her teenage years, she became captivated by the intricate geometric patterns characteristic of Celtic Art. Motivated by this fascination, Kris dedicated herself to mastering and developing her skills, producing distinctive designs that invite viewers to explore the dimensional illusions in her work, which appear carved from natural materials rather than painted.  Kris dedicated efforts to crafting relief designs on various works, aiming to bring Celtic patterns to life and enable visually impaired individuals to appreciate them through tactile interaction.

Kris Ramsay has established a prominent presence within the Celtic art community. Alongside Peter Grimes, together they co-manage the Facebook group - Celtic Artists of Australia.
